Washing
Generally being an eco brand we encourage washing at 20 degrees, and drying on the line. But sometimes I know a hotter wash get shift those stains! If you need to wash it hotter probably best to wash it on its own in the sink so that it isn’t in the hot water too long.
Don’t twist your garment to ring the water out.
If you can spot clean your garment, if it isn’t heavily soiled, then that is a great way to reduce the impact of washing and make your textiles last longer. This is especially ideal if your garment is made from vintage fabrics to make the textiles last even longer.
If your garment included vintage textiles and I haven’t stated its 100% natural then I will probably have detailed it’s likely there is some polyester content. Polyester sheds in the wash so it would be ideal to wash in a Guppy Bag like this (no affiliation).
Drying and Ironing
It is alway best to avoid the tumble dryer, even a cotton jersey can get a bit smaller from it! Dry on the outside line or inside maiden.
It is fine to iron your garments, natural fabrics do often need an iron after washing. Always iron on reverse. Keep the heat medium.
Vintage tulles and Lace - WARNING - If your garment has vintage fabric it in I cannot guarantee it will be 100% natural, lace often has polyester or nylon blended. So please do not put your iron on it. If you really need to iron it keep it medium and place a piece of cotton (like a hanky) between your vintage fabric or lace and your iron.
Most fabrics will be fine to hang but if your top is made with jersey fabric it is best to store in a drawer so the jersey doesn’t get stretched out by the weight of the skirt.
If you are storing for any reason and not wearing your garment then gently wrap in acid free tissue and store in a bag or box that prevents moths from ruining it.

Passing it on
Kids grow, tastes change, all totally normal. So if your garment needs a new home pass it along to someone who will love it and point them in the direction of this page. A QR label in the garment should take them here.
