I love fabric sourcing for my collections. One of the hardest parts of creating my own wedding dress back in 2015 and creating dresses when I had a shop was finding sustainable fabrics, so I decided to share my research with fellow sewists and stock a selection of beautiful fabrics and trims.
My collection of fabrics is specially curated for conscious and creative brides wanting to sew their own wedding dress from natural & eco-friendly fabrics.
Sew your own sustainable bridal wear or flower girl outfit with this soft 100% organic cotton tulle. It has a wonderful drape and a tiny bit of stretch. Because it is 100% organic cotton, it is slightly heavier than polyester or nylon tulle. It doesn’t have that stiffness or ‘stand’. It is more like sewing with a cotton voile fabric. It is really soft against your skin, wonderful to have 100% natural fabrics in your clothing. Off-white is usually in stock; other colours may take additional time to arrive. I will let you know the timeframe when you place your order, or you can contact me in advance to check.
This tulle is lovely with a little trimming, giving it some weight against its natural bounce.
